Farmers needed for state Farmers Market Task Force

The Illinois Farmers Market Bill, SB 1852, passed both houses of the General Assembly and will soon be signed by the Governor. This bill establishes a Farmers Market Task Force to work with regulating entities to create less confusing, more uniform, better streamlined, and less burdensome statewide regulations.

Lt Governor Sheila Simon’s Office is responsible for appointing five farmers to the Task Force. The Bill states that “task force member’s terms shall be for a period of two years.”
